UMA THURMAN is planning to quit acting to raise her two children. The 36-year-old KILL BILL star wants to dedicate all her time to MAYA, eight and ROAN, five – her kids with ex-husband ETHAN HAWKE. Thurman says, “I love acting, truly it is the first love of my life. But I am thinking about becoming a stay-at-home mom.” The actress also insists she isn’t looking for a husband to help her – despite her on-off relationship with hotelier ANDRE BALASZ. She says, “I’m not getting married. “For any human a partner that you trust is invaluable and the partners that I trust most are my children.” [ContactMusic]
Josh Hartnett struggled to cope following his “really painful” from Scarlett Johansson. The pair dated for a year after meeting on the set of movie BLACK DAHLIA, but went their separate ways in November (06) because their busy schedules made it impossible for them to spend time together. Hartnett says, “It was difficult spending so much time apart with all our different commitments and both of us flying all over the world. “At the end of the day we’re just ordinary people and it didn’t work.” [ContactMusic]

The parents of the woman killed in a car accident involving R&B singer Brandy filed a $50 million wrongful death lawsuit Tuesday against the former Moesha star.
The suit, filed by Ahmed Aboudihaj and Zohra Labridi, alleges “Brandy was driving recklessly” when she struck their daughter.
On Dec. 30, Brandy rear-ended 38-year-old Awatef Aboudihaj, a mother of two, on a Los Angeles freeway, causing a chain reaction which ultimately killed the Moroccan immigrant, police say.
At the time of the accident, Aboudihaj was on her way to one of two waitress jobs she held, according to her widow, Hdidou Marouane, 32, an L.A. sales manager.
On Monday, investigators recommended that Brandy be charged with misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter without gross negligence. The L.A. City Attorney is reviewing the case.
If charged and convicted, Brandy, 27, faces up to one year in county jail.
“The accident was a terrible tragedy and Brandy’s heart goes out to Awatef Aboudihaj’s family,” Brandy’s rep said in a statement. “But for legal reasons we cannot comment on this lawsuit.” [People]

Isaiah Washington is scheduled to return to the Grey’s Anatomy set as early as Thursday for the first time since entering counseling after making a homophobic slur, a source tells PEOPLE.
Washington, who plays Dr. Preston Burke, has not been on the set since Jan. 23, the day before he issued a statement saying he would seek counseling “as a necessary step toward understanding why I did what I did and making sure it never happens again.”
He also missed picking up a trophy at Sunday’s Screen Actors Guild Awards that honored the Grey’s cast for drama. “There’s a little awkwardness here,” costar Katherine Heigl said before the show. Best actress winner Chandra Wilson alluded to his absence, saying in her acceptance speech, “It’s about the 10 cast members sitting over there and the other one in rehab.”
A source familiar with the Grey’s Anatomy production schedule tells PEOPLE that Washington has confirmed he’ll arrive for his next call time, now set for Thursday, though the show’s production schedule changes.
Washington, 43, has been at the center of controversy since using a homophobic slur to refer to costar T.R. Knight, who is gay. After a firestorm of criticism, Washington apologized, then on Jan. 23 announced: “I have begun counseling.”
“I appreciate the fact that I have been given this opportunity and I remain committed to transforming my negative actions into positive results, personally and professionally,” he said.
Reps for the show and Washington declined to comment.[People]

Yeah the battle has begun and Britney is winning…
Britney Spears has reportedly won the custody battle with ex-hubby Kevin Federline according to the latest issue of Life&Style.
The estranged couple had their bigwig lawyers hammer out a settlement which has Brit-Brit receiving physical custody of the couple’s two children. The settlement is expected to be finalized within two weeks.
As you may recall, K-Fed had filed for full custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James in a bid for a bigger cash out. Looks like it didn’t work — the hip hop wannabe will receive half of the earnings from the sale of their $13.5 million Malibu estate, $500 000 in cash and all the flashy Bling he collected throughout their short marriage.
The pre-nup also states that Brit has the right to take back any gift she gave to Kevin worth more than 10 grand. You know what that means, right? Bye bye to that $225 000 Ferrari he hooked up last year.[Faded Youth]
