Reality TV producer Mark Burnett (Survivor, The Apprentice) and former Touched By An Angel star Roma Downey were wed in a private ceremony at their home in Malibu Saturday afternoon, PEOPLE confirms exclusively.
“It was wonderful to have shared our big day with our family – Roma, myself, our children and our parents,” Burnett, who’s also producing this summer’s On the Lot on FOX and Pirate Master on CBS, tells PEOPLE. “It was so meaningful and so intimate.”
On a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Burnett, 46, and Downey, 47, said their “I dos” in a ceremony officiated by Downey’s Angel costar, Della Reese, 75, who is an ordained minister.
Burnett’s sons from a previous marriage, James, 13 and Cameron, 10, acted as best man and ring bearer, respectively (Cameron was also the ring bearer for the wedding of Donald Trump and Melania Knauss in January 2005). Downey’s daughter from a previous marriage, Reilly, 10, was a bridesmaid.
Also in attendance were Burnett’s father, Archie, 83, dressed in a traditional kilt, and Burnett’s stepmother, Jean; for Downey, Reese and her husband, Franklin, stood in for Downey’s parents, both of whom have passed away.
At the end of the half-hour ceremony, which included family members reading selected passages from novels and poems, a small plane that Downey had hired as a surprise for Burnett flew overhead with a banner that read, “… and they lived happily ever after.”
Retreating to their backyard, the family settled into a seafood reception with shrimp cocktail, fresh lobster salad and broiled lobster tails. The adults toasted with Cristal Champagne; the kids, with Martinelli’s sparkling apple juice. To finish the day: wedding cake, ice cream and fruit.
The couple, who had been Malibu neighbors for years when they started dating in January of 2004, became engaged last November during a Thanksgiving family vacation in Zihuatenejo, Mexico. The traveling will continue as the pair leaves on a 10-day honeymoon to Jordan, where Lawrence of Arabia was filmed, and London.
Madonna is planning to adopt a ‘sister’ for Malawian baby David Banda, the infant’s grandmother has said.
Ahead of the singer’s trip to the African country tomorrow, Athnette Mwale claims that charity workers told her and her son Yohane – David’s father –Madonna “would return for another child very soon”.
Yesterday Madonna’s publicist vehemently denied that she was planning to adopt another baby.
“She is overseeing the building of a children’s health care centre,” said Liz Rosenburg.
But 57-year-old Athnette told the Sun: “I have prayed to God that my boy will have a sister to play with from his own country.
“When the adoption people came to speak to Yohane about David they said Madonna would give him the best life in the world. And they promised that she would find him a sister, another orphan from Malawi.”
Madonna has reportedly “set her heart” on adopting a three-year-old girl called Grace after seeing documentary footage of her.
The singer’s two children, Lourdes, ten, and Rocco, six, will accompany her on her trip to Africa, which will include an audience with former South African president Nelson Mandela in Johannesburg.

Double the good news for Salma Hayek: The actress is engaged to businessman boyfriend François-Henri Pinault – and she’s pregnant.
“Businessman, François-Henri Pinault, and his fiancée, Salma Hayek, are happy to announce they are expecting the arrival of their first child,” Hayek’s rep confirmed in a statement Friday.
The news, first reported by New York Daily News columnist Ben Widdicombe (via gossip site Perez Hilton), comes just days after a photo of Hayek made the Web rounds prompting speculation that she was expecting.
The pair have kept a relatively low profile since their relationship began – though Hayek, 40, has joined Pinault for occasional public events, including one in April at the festivities surrounding the inauguration of the Pinault Foundation’s Modern Art collection in Venice’s Gritti Palace.
Pinault, 44, is the CEO of luxury goods firm PPR, which owns Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent, as well as a French department store and national music chain. His father, François, is an avid art collector owning more than 2,500 valuable pieces, including Picassos, Miros and work by contemporary artitsts including Damien Hirst. Familiar on both European and American fashion and art circuits, the family fortune is estimated in excess of $7 billion.
Pinault, who was once linked to Nicole Kidman, was previously married and has two children.
Hayek has most recently had her hands full on Ugly Betty, both as a guest star and as the executive producer of hit ABC show. Hayek previously dated actor Edward Norton for four years until 2003, before linking up with Josh Lucas, with whom she split in 2004. Source
Former Felicity star Keri Russell married her longtime boyfriend, Shane Deary, in an intimate Valentine’s Day ceremony on Wednesday, her rep tells PEOPLE.
Only a few close friends were in attendance for the wedding, which took place in New York during a snowstorm.
Russell and Deary, who are both 30, are expecting their first child this summer, Russell’s rep, Jill Fritzo told PEOPLE last month.
Russell and Deary, a contractor, have been dating for several years and were engaged to be married last year.
Of her pregnancy, Russell, who’s in her second trimester, told PEOPLE at the Sundance Film Festival, “I’m one of the lucky ones. So far it’s been nice and easy. It’s a big, life-changing experience, and we’re excited.”
Russell played the title role of Felicity Porter in the hit WB drama from 1998 to 2002. In 2006 she appeared opposite Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible 3.
Her new movie, the indie romantic comedy Waitress, was directed by the late Adrienne Shelly and screened at Sundance. Later this year, she will also star in August Rush with Robin Williams and Girl in the Park with Kate Bosworth.

How do Fergie and Josh Duhamel’s keep their relationship strong? Fishing, cooking and karaoke. “We always do quirky romantic things,” Fergie, 31, told PEOPLE Saturday at the 5th Annual Cadillac Super Bowl Grand Prix, where the singer, Duhamel, 34, and other stars raced go-karts for charity in Miami. “It’s not just Valentine’s Day. Like we went to Cabo San Lucas, and we took a cooking class and we went fishing for marlin and mahi mahi.” And she’s not the only one who can belt out a tune. “We sing karaoke. At his house, he has a karaoke machine,” she said. “Sometimes we’ll sing really corny duets together when a couple of our friends are over. He does ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart,’ which is amazing. Anne Heche’s husband, Coley Laffoon, filed for divorce after five years of marriage, according to papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.
Laffoon, who cited the usual irreconcilable differences, is seeking joint custody of their 4-year-old son, Homer, and spousal support from Heche, the papers show.
Laffoon filed for divorce against the Men in Trees star Thursday and the papers were released on Friday. He gave no date of separation.
But earlier this month, Heche’s rep confirmed that the couple had separated, saying: “They have requested that they be allowed their privacy at this time.”
The couple wed in 2001. Laffoon, a self-described stay-at-home dad (whose parenting skills Heche publicly praised as recently as Jan. 14) met Heche when he filmed a 2001 documentary on her then-partner Ellen DeGeneres.
The reason for the breakup between Laffoon, 33, and Heche, 37, say insiders, was the actress’s budding relationship with on-camera love interest James Tupper (known as “McTreemy” on the Men in Trees set), who split from his wife in late 2006.
Though reps for Heche and Tupper have not commented publicly on the romance, the pair didn’t seem to be hiding on a Jan. 13 flight from Vancouver to L.A. “They looked like high school kids in love,” a witness told Entertainment Tonight Canada, adding that Heche spent part of the trip on Tupper’s lap, whispering and cuddling.
Later that month, Heche lingered over a three-hour dinner at Vancouver’s Gotham Steakhouse with her new man. Says a source: “It was clear they enjoyed being together.”

Britney Spears doesn’t miss being married.
When asked in New York on Friday how she likes being single, the pop star, who filed for divorce from Kevin Federline on Nov. 7, told PEOPLE: “It’s awesome.”
Spears grabbed the spotlight Friday while at the fashion show for Baby Phat by Kimora Lee Simmons and KLS Collection Fall 2007, which was held at the Roseland Ballroom in conjunction with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
Wearing a slinky black spaghetti-strapped dress and black peek-a-boo pumps, Spears posed for photographers upon her arrival, and was escorted to her front-row seat just moments before the show started.
As the models strutted on an elevated stage wearing sexy tweed outfits, double-breasted winter coats and big fur hats for the show entitled “From Russia with Love,” Spears chatted at times with her assistant. She applauded with the rest of the crowd when model Alek Wek flaunted a colorful halter dress that dragged on the floor in the back but was a mini-dress in the front. “Oh my god,” said Spears.
After the show, Spears told PEOPLE of the collection: “It was amazing.”
Kimora Lee Simmons, who was backstage after the show, said of Spears: “Sometimes she gets a hard rap…[But] she is a very talented girl.”

Australian singer Kylie Minogue and Paris-born actor Olivier Martinez have broken up after four years together, according to a statement released Friday.
“Olivier Martinez and Kylie Minogue have officially confirmed that they are no longer a couple,” says the statement issued by reps for the couple. “They have made it clear that the decision to go their separate ways was mutual and amicable. The two remain very close friends.”
The pop princess and Martinez are both, it says, “saddened by false [media] accusations of disloyalty.”
The couple’s parting follows reports that Martinez, 41, was seen with younger women in Los Angeles twice last week while Minogue, 38, remained in Britain.
The Australian entertainer is recovering from a respiratory infection, which caused her to cancel several concert dates in the UK last month. The gigs were part of her worldwide comeback Showgirl tour following her battle to beat cancer.
Minogue earlier this year credited Martinez, who appeared in Unfaithful with Diane Lane and Richard Gere in 2002, with helping her through the dark days of her breast cancer battle. She was diagnosed with the disease in May of 2005.
“He was always there, helping with the practical stuff and being protective,” said Minogue, who was given the all-clear last year. “He was incredible. He didn’t hesitate in canceling work and putting projects on hold so he could be with me. He’s the most honorable man I have ever met.”
Minogue began dating Martinez after they met at the Grammy Awards in 2003. After dining in Beverly Hills, Martinez drove her back to her hotel in his 1969 cream convertible E-type Jaguar.
